Kea and Cub link badges should be spaced to allow for the scout link and venturer link badges<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3035\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3035\" style=\"width: 374px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3035\" src=\"https:\/\/tauhinuseascouts.org.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_20190321_182451.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"374\" height=\"499\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3035\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Left Sleeve: The Tauhinu badge should be right at the top of the sleeve (beware the shoulder seem isn&#8217;t the center of the sleeve). Up to two events badges can then be placed under this (that are no older than a year since the event). Bronze, Silver and Gold should be spaced at the bottom of the sleeve. Until the Scout Bronze is achieved the highest Cub award is allowed to stay on the sleeve.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Sewing Method One &#8211; Using a sewing machine<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Pin badge into correct place with at least two pins<\/li>\n<li>Double check you have it in the right place<\/li>\n<li>Work from the top side of the shirt, through the badge<\/li>\n<li>You can use clear nylon thread on the top, this is invisible so you don\u2019t have to swap thread for each badge<\/li>\n<li>Travel a small amount at a time, leave the needle in and lift the pressure foot up to turn the fabric, ensuring the badge and fabric stay flat<\/li>\n<li>When you work on the sleeve turn the shirt inside out. Then you can work inside the sleeve on top of the badge and the sleeve does not have to wrap around the machine arm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Method Two &#8211; Hand Sewing<\/h3>\n<p>To hand sew on a badge using thread that matches the border colour of badge.
