Tauhinu provides youth the ability to gain the DofE awards alongside the Scout\Venturer award schemes. Fees are just the DofE registration fee $85 and expeditions done at cost. The DofE programme is made up of four sections (five at Gold) with youth needing to do each activity for an average of an hour a week.
Scouts or Venturers who are 14+ can start Bronze DofE along side doing their Chief Scout’s Award. The expedition and community service aspects count to both awards. Leaders will provide expedition training and assist with organizing journeys. Venturers have the option of start Bronze also or direct entry into Silver once 15. The King’s Scout Award can then be paired with the DofE Gold Award.
