Venturers Highlights

Well done to 10 of our venturers who independently completed the Tongariro Northern Circuit over the holidays 😊. A challenging three-day hike with being fully packed out whilst experiencing some chilly alpine camping conditions in the spectacular scenery of National Park🏔. Highlights included the joyous grind of the Devils Staircase, scoria sliding down from Red Crater, meeting a hard core Candian hut warden that showered in the water fall each day, leaving the leader shadowing party in their dust, the Scout Lodge's delicious non-dehydrated food. There was also some down time back at the Scout Ski Lodge, a compulsory visit to The Chocolate Eclair Shop, horse riding, hot pools and a visit to Smash Palace 🥵😃⚜
