Duke of Edinburgh’s Hillary Award
Tauhinu provides our youth the unique opportunity to achieve the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s Hillary Award (DofE) seamlessly alongside their Scout and Venturer award schemes. By combining forces, your regular Scouting activities can double as credits toward your DofE goals!
The DofE programme is built around four fundamental sections (five at the Gold level). To complete them, youth commit to their chosen activities for an average of one hour per week.
🔄 Parallel Award Progressions
Why do double the work? Your milestones overlap perfectly. Our leadership team directly supports you with expedition training, navigation skills, and coordination for all of your qualifying journeys.
Scouts or Venturers can initiate their Bronze tier alongside their **Chief Scout’s Award**. The community service and adventurous expedition phases safely count toward completing both badges simultaneously.
Venturers have the flexible option to complete their Bronze layout or bypass it via Direct Entry into the Silver Award tier once they cross the age of 15.
The ultimate pinnacle. The prestigious King’s Scout Award matches seamlessly with the requirements of the DofE Gold Award, pushing you to your peak performance.
